On my birthday, November 28th 2018, last year I decided it was time for a new bike, now owning 7. As I had recently broken a second hip I decided I needed disc brakes to feel a bit more secure in the descents, still planning to do Mont Ventoux 3x in one day. So I did my due diligence and brought my decision down to two bikes (Trek Madone 9 and Wilier Cento10 NDR). As I knew that 12gobiking had both brands in store I went together with my dad to bring them a visit. Looking at the Trek I knew immediately that this was not my bike, although on a picture this bikes looks awesome in real life it is rather chunky. So my decision was made: Wilier Cento10 NDR!
Of course for a Wilier there is only one store Italian Cycle Experience, where Martin van der Wel is the owner. Martin I know since my childhood as I competed against his brother Ronald for many years. At this incredible store, a candy shop, I made the decision to go fully custom on my NDR. Based on some small sample tubes I choose BLACK and GOLD to be the colors and also the steer I changed to a Alabarda in the same colors.
Here the results, what do you think?
