New rubber meets the road was the topic of this day. After 2 very heavy climbing days I decided to do a road ride. That meant changing wheels and a proper test for my new WTB Exposure 36 mm tires (instead of my WTB Resolute 42 mm). This tire is a thick slick kind of one which really rolls smooth over the tarmac. It takes away every bump but also on gravel parts it performs really well. So through the forrest the bike paths (they have here a great network of bike paths and routes which are also very great for a normal road bike) took me to the town of Niederdorf. With steep climbs (some I did also on day one), endless grassland views and little churches (counted 5 along the way). The temperature also increased which made the ride in the end also a challenging one. But the ice coffee and homemade cake along the way made this again an excellent ride.
What tomorrow brings is still a guess, because the legs feel very tired I can tell you! Read about it here: Day 6
