Stuck in Basel due to weather conditions and now flying back tomorrow via London to Amsterdam. It’s been a bit of a travel adventure, but I can’t help thinking I’d rather be on my gravel bike somewhere in the Netherlands, enjoying the trails and fresh air.

Finally, the sun has graced the Netherlands with its warm, golden rays! After what seemed like an eternity of grey skies and rain, the arrival of sunshine feels like a blessing. Unfortunately, I’m traveling for work this week, which means I won’t be able to enjoy these beautiful days at home. But I couldn’t let this opportunity slip away without a ride!

So, I seized the moment for an easy peasy sunny ride on my home grounds. There’s something incredibly refreshing about feeling the sun on your face and the wind in your hair as you pedal through familiar paths. The vibrant colors of nature, the clear blue sky, and the cheerful atmosphere make every minute on the bike pure joy.

Even a short, relaxed ride can rejuvenate the spirit and bring a sense of peace. It’s a reminder of how special our local surroundings are and how important it is to take time to enjoy them, especially when the weather is this perfect.

There’s something truly magical about exploring new gravel roads around the stunning De Hoge Veluwe National Park. This picturesque region offers a cyclist’s paradise, with its scenic routes and breathtaking landscapes.

When the sun is shining, it feels like everything else fades away. The worries of everyday life disappear, replaced by the sheer joy of the ride. Every pedal stroke becomes a celebration of freedom and adventure, each turn revealing another beautiful stretch of trail.

De Hoge Veluwe’s lush greenery and diverse terrain create a perfect backdrop for an unforgettable gravel biking experience. The sun casting its golden glow over the landscape makes it all the more enchanting.

To top it all off, a day like this wouldn’t be complete without indulging in a McKroket and a refreshing coconut milkshake. After an exhilarating ride, these treats make the perfect ending to an already perfect day.

Can you spot the differences between my @merida.benelux and @wiliertriestina bikes? Each one has its unique charm and personality, reflecting my passion for cycling. But there’s one thing they both share: stunning custom paintwork that makes them stand out from the crowd.

I’m still over the moon about winning the @carbonherstel.nl giveaway! The prize? A fantastic opportunity to have @cycle_tim work his magic on my Merida matching my Wilier, from @italiancycleexperience. His talent and attention to detail are evident in every stroke of paint, transforming my beloved Merida into true works of art.
