On Instagram I came across Turba Optics, which literally caught my eyes. Their cool looking cycling glasses are eye candy for every cyclist. The look-and-feel of the glasses are similar to the high end ones on the market but the price is much more affordable. So I reach out to them to see if I could do a test and review for them. I was lucky and now I am waiting for the glasses to arrive all the way from the Australia to the Netherlands. Read my test and review here.
Who are they?
TURBA was formed with a single goal in mind: Provide great quality cycling glasses at affordable prices. As cyclists, they were frustrated with the cost of a good pair of glasses. For objects that too often get scratched up, fall apart, or just disappear, they couldn’t justify spending 100’s of dollars on something that could get run over on our next ride.
But the glasses that were affordably priced looked… Well… Terrible.
Launched in May 2020, they’re a new, 100% Australian owned brand, who distribute their affordable cycling glasses worldwide. As of now, TURBA is sold exclusively at turbaoptics.com, however, they are working on providing the TURBA range to a number of local cycling stores across Australia, with the hope of extending their brick and mortar offerings worldwide in 2021.
